The Best Way To Clean An Oven

Begin by using a piece of cloth to get rid of any bits of food that are loosely placed on the surface of the oven.

Cleaning Using Baking Soda and Water Paste
Create a mixture of water and baking soda, usually a half cup of baking soda combined with water will do. Completely stir to create a paste. Then proceed to spread the paste onto the ovens bottom ensuring that you do not interfere with the heating elements. Spread the mixture evenly across the bottom of the oven and make sure that all corners are covered.
Leave this paste spread in the oven overnight so that you are able to achieve maximum efficiency. The following morning proceed to the oven to clean up! Use a damp piece of cloth or sponge to wipe out the paste mixture from the oven. Spray some vinegar onto the area with remnants of baking soda and wipe again using the damp cloth or sponge.
To clean oven racks you have to first remove them from the oven. Wash the racks using warm water mixed with some washing powder. Scrub any food crumbles, dirt and grime with a pad. Then rinse them and once dry put them back into place.
Oven cleaning is a time consuming exercise but which can be made easier by regularly cleaning especially for those with self-cleaning ovens.
